- The Greenwood Police Department and the District Attorney
for the 24th Judicial District have not been working well
together. The police department makes arrests based on
probable cause and then refers the case to the district
attorney's office. When the case lacks ground to take
to trial the chief blames the District Attorney for failing
to prosecute the case. The Greenwood Police Department
has been under much pressure to solve more cases and the
new chief of police has decided to make arrests based
on probable cause. What role would the lessons learned
in this section play in resolving this conflict?
